On Saturday 28th November, will, strength and solidarity were the main tools in the event of construction along with volunteers from the University NUR, the GAIA PACHA Foundation and the international volunteers: Mark and Michelle Schofield (USA), Franca Francim (Italy) and Philippe Deguise (USA).
Working hard and selflessly in Quillacollo, managed to benefit from their labor to a family in need.
Thats how we say goodbye to the 2009!

“A green economy, one that is inclusive and acts responsibly” was the theme of the Sixth Forum for Corporative Social Responsability (CSR) held October 30 and organized by CAINCO (Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Toursim) in Santa Cruz.

Habitat for Humanity Bolivia was invited to this event for the first time as an exhibitor to share its philosophy and to demonstrate its approach to helping people.

The CSR brings together businesses whose activities have a positive affect on society, that affirm the principles and values that govern its own methods and internal processes, as well as the relationship among its membership. The CSR is an voluntary initiative of the OIT. (International Organization of Labor). The fundraising department of Habitat for Humanity Bolivia works within this new initiative focusing on Bolivian companies, with the goal of working together to serve the greatest number of families in need.
In this manner, Habitat for Humanity has developed strategic and synergistic alliances with companies like VIVA, BancoSol, Coca Cola and Cargill which best serve the goals of the organization.

Following the signing of an inter-institucional covenant of support, the Estas Vivo Foundation made an important cash contribution with the goal of educating the general public about the inhumane conditions under which thousands of Bolivians live.

The event which took place in Cochabamba brought together more than 300 volunteers. The foundation´s participation was key in achieving our goals and in insuring the maximum impact of our efforts.

World Habitat Day has been celebrated since 1985 and is supported by the United Nations. For the first time under the leadership of Habitat for Humanity, the impact worldwide was better than expected, having mobilized thousands of volunteers calling for more just and inclusive urban centers .

The Estas Vivo Foundation was established in 2008 as an enduring agreement with the society in which VIVA is rooted, supported by a sense of responsibility which affects the entire organization. Therefor its efforts should generate quantifiable and transparent results that are made public through periodic reports capable of articulating the social needs of Bolivia.
VIVA GSM is the company that first introduced in Bolivia GSM technical platform in late 1999 when he opened the telecommunications market in Bolivia. Today, such actions are necessary to coordinate efforts and add actions to benefit the most vulnerable families in our country.
